Life’s fantastic in Barbie World… and Hasbro’s Monopoly: Barbie Edition.
Barbie fans can embrace the life of Mattel’s iconic fashion doll as they play this very pink edition of Monopoly. This is a major crossover collab from toy industry giants Mattel and Hasbro, well timed to the release of Barbie: The Movie.
Players will start the game by choosing from six Barbie-inspired tokens that feature her iconic pink color: a dog, a shoe, a speedboat, a roller skate, a sportscar, or Barbie herself.
Monopoly: Barbie Edition adds fantastic flair to the classic board. Instead of railroads, players can land on one of four Dream vehicles: Dream Boat, Dream Camper, Dream Convertible, and Dream Plane. Fans will also see Barbie-inspired locations available to purchase, like Malibu Ave., Pink Canyon Blvd., and Roberts Road.
The Be Anything cards, which feature six Barbie careers, add a new mechanic to the game. Players choose their card before the game and can utilize its unique Be Anything skill when they roll a “B” with the Barbie die. The game also features Dream Career and Dream Closet cards in place of Community Chest and Chance. Players draw these cards throughout the game to live out career and fashion goals.
Barbie lovers can live the pink dream by preordering Monopoly: Barbie Edition for $24.99 on Entertainment Earth today. The game will also be available to purchase at major retailers starting on Oct. 1.
