Finally, all those hours spent watching cartoons are about to pay off!
Nickelodeon is launching a cartoon trivia game show that puts kids’ TV-watching skills to the test. In Tooned In, an animated A.I. robot plays host as kid contestants compete in a battle of Nickelodeon cartoon knowledge for the chance to take home exciting prizes.
Each episode features three kids who must answer animation questions across slime-filled rounds until only one contestant is left in the competition. The final kid will then move on to a special prize round to compete against Nicky the robot for a chance to win the $1,000 grand prize. Answer questions right: win money. Answer wrong: get slimed! Sounds like a win-win to us.
Tooned In will premiere on Monday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, with future episodes airing Mondays through Thursdays. The season finale will air on Thursday, March 4.
Viewers at home will have a chance to play along during the week of March 1 with the Screens Up app and on nickplay.com. The top four users with the highest scores will get their names displayed on-air at the end of each episode and the top 100 users will get their names displayed within the game.
