Who let the dogs out?
The Baha Men are back to help Basic Fun! and Adopt-a-Pet.com raise awareness for pet adoption on National Mutt Day this Friday.
Pet lovers can join in on the fun by creating videos of themselves dancing to the Baha Men’s hit song, “Who Let the Dogs Out,” which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month. Participants can grab their Pound Puppies or their real puppies to dance along with them, then post their videos on TikTok and IGTV. TikTok star Katie Feeney will lead the social media dance party with the help of her two adopted pups.
“As a band we focus on being positive, making a difference through music that is fun, something that all ages can enjoy,” said Isaiah Taylor of the Baha Men in a statement. “There is nothing more positive than being able to find homes for the thousands of real ‘Pound Puppies’ around the country, bringing happiness and joy to countless families. It is a win all the way around!”
In addition to finding forever families for homeless animals, Adopt-a-Pet.com has also launched Rehome, a peer-to-peer pet adoption platform that helps families who can no longer care for their pets find them reliable new homes. Rehome is free to use and provides useful tools to assist in the adoption process.
