BLIND BARBIE DOLL

Created with consultation from the American Foundation for the Blind, this Fashionista Barbie Doll includes a white-and-red cane with a marshmallow tip, elbow articulation for cane use, and sunglasses. The doll features a satin-like pink blouse and ruffle skirt for tactile play, as well as brightly colored, high-contrast hook and loop fasteners for closure on the shirt and an elastic waistband on the skirt for easy changing. The doll has an eye gaze that faces slightly up and out, reflecting the eye gaze that blind individuals sometimes have. The box also has “Barbie” in braille!
