If kids are fishing for new adventures, they’ll love this board game from Analog Game Studios. Featuring art by Toronto game designer Cecil Oakton, Schooled is now available for families’ next game night.
Schooled features gameplay inspired by the real-world behaviors of fish, which form defensive schools to improve their chances of survival. Players ages 8 and up will compete to build and protect their own underwater army while challenging their opponent’s formation. Schooled includes a double-sided game board, 36 fish tokens, and a four-page rule book.
In this game, the goal is to score the most points by strategically placing fish tokens. After deciding which side of the game board to use, players divide their tokens and take turns placing fish on vacant spaces. Players can overthrow their opponent if the token they place next to their fish has a higher score value. Gameplay, which lasts between 15-20 minutes, ends when a player places their last fish on the board or if there are no other moves.
Schooled is now available at specialty retailers. Parents can find more information at analoggamestudios.com.
