Parents can help prepare kids for their adventure into the cyber world with a series of mini games from GBH Kids and PBS Kids. Search It Up: The Game is inspired by the digital mini series Search It Up, designed to help kids ages 4-7 learn to safely navigate technology and the internet.
Search It Up: The Game features eight mini games designed to resemble a series of apps, through which kids can learn healthy tech habits based on themes such as connecting with friends, setting up passwords, getting ready for school, and more. Through playing the game, kids will acquire important skills, including knowing what to share (or not to share) online, understanding boundaries, responding to calls or texts, and navigating information on the internet.
Search It Up: The Game is funded by Comcast’s Internet Essentials from Comcast, a program dedicated to providing affordable, high-speed internet access to families and communities in need of financial assistance.
The digital mini series Search It Up, on which the game is based, addresses the increased need to teach internet safety and tech literacy as more kids find themselves spending more time on the internet because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
