Watching Sesame Street on the TV at home is fun, but kids can experience a whole new world at the new Sesame Street Learn & Play Educational Play Center that is headed to the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey later this year.
Sesame Street Learn & Play will feature 13,000 square feet of immersive experiences where kids will play with their favorite furry monsters. Kids will learn about the rainforest as they visit Elmo’s World, go shopping at Hooper’s Store, explore Abby Cadabby’s garden, and more.
Different locations from the show will also be featured in the center, including the Community Center, where kids can do hands-on arts and crafts; the Bike Shop, where kids can learn about cause and effect with cranks and gears; and the playground, where they can climb, slide, and explore. Sesame Street Learn & Play will also feature a separate toddler play area for younger kids.
Families can also take part in photo ops in front of the iconic 123 Sesame Street building stoop, Oscar’s trash can, and more and meet Big Bird, Abby Cadabby, and Elmo! Adults can book party rooms for birthday parties and other events and shop in the Sesame Street retail store as well.
Sesame Street Learn & Play will open its doors to visitors later this year. Until then, kids will just have to imagine the adventures they will have with Elmo and their new friends!
