This year marks the 50th anniversary of Sesame Street, but season 49 still has a little ways to go. The iconic preschool series kicked off March with a new episode, “Mechanics in Space,” and will roll out new content all month, with fresh episodes debuting Saturday mornings at 9 a.m ET on HBO.
The alphabet is the subject in “Fixing X,” premiering on March 9. Big Bird and Snuffy are the hosts of “The Letter of the Day Show” on Sesame Street and learn all about how the letter “X” can come at the end of a word. In “Elmo Goes to Chicken School,” debuting March 16, Elmo helps Professor Buck Awe teach a class of chickens using strategies he learned in preschool. Andy Grammer guest stars.
In “Walking the Dog,” premiering March 23, Elmo wants to be a dog walker just like dog walker Grover. His friends help him practice by pretending to be different kinds of dogs. Finally, Elmo and his dad become engineers as they design a “toy putter awayer” to help Elmo put away his toys in “Elmo the Engineer,” premiering March 30.
Sesame Street is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms. Older episodes are available via PBS KIDS.
