In stressful times, it always helps to see a friendly face, and who’s friendlier than Big Bird and Elmo?
Sesame Street is teaming up with CNN for a new Town Hall this Saturday to help inform kids and parents about the latest issues surrounding the coronavirus. The ABC’s of COVID-19 will cover how to stay safe in the summer months, returning to school in the fall, and how to manage big feelings.
This is the second Sesame Street and CNN special touching on COVID-19. Big Bird will host the hour-long program with the help of CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Erica Hill. Kids will also see special appearances from Elmo and Abby Cadabby.
The ABC’s of COVID-19 is an extension of Sesame Workshop’s Caring for Each Other initiative, which continues to provide free resources for parents and families during the pandemic through the nonprofit’s Critical Needs Response Fund.
The Town Hall will stream live for subscribers on Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m. EDT on cnn.com’s homepage and across mobile devices via CNN’s apps for iOS and Android. Viewers can also watch it on demand via cable/satellite systems, CNNgo platforms, and CNN mobile apps.
