The Smurfs are making their return to the big screen this summer, and (spoiler alert) Rihanna is joining the blue squad.
The trailer for Smurf It Up dropped today — it’s cute, funny, and features some iconic voice actors. Due to the laugh-out-loud humor, stellar animation, and the all-star lineup (Rihanna, Nick Offerman, and James Corden, to name a few), this movie has the potential to be your family’s movie of the summer. With a release date of July 18, it is destined to be a blue summer — in a happy way!
The Smurf It Up plot involves evil wizards capturing Papa Smurf, prompting the other Smurfs to embark on a rescue mission in the human world. The trailer showcases exciting scenes, including the Smurfs running through the rainy streets of Paris and swinging from the ceiling in a club while DJ Khaled sings. It is clear that we can expect plenty of hysterical and magical moments that will make the whole family laugh.
