The Story Pirates are back with their second-annual Story Pirates Creator Camp!

This virtual camp — presented in partnership with Random House Children’s Books — will feature a different author and illustrator guest every day between June 14-July 30. Kids will be able to join Story Pirate performers on literary adventures involving comedy, comics, magic, mystery, and more!

Camp activities will be scheduled in the mornings every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. ET/PT. More than 21 different authors and illustrators from Random House Children’s Books will be featured throughout the week to join kids on their reading adventures, delve into their creative processes, and take questions from campers. Some special guests include Mary Pope Osborne (Magic Tree House series), Chris Grabenstein (Dog Squad), Aisha Saeed (Diana and the Underworld Odyssey), and Theanne Griffith (The Magnificent Makers).

The Story Pirates Creator Camp consists of seven themed weeks. For instance, kids can crack jokes and watch Story Pirates podcast hosts get pied in the face during the second week’s “Comedy Camp: Pies in the Face!” theme. During week five’s “Mystery Camp: The Case of the Musical Cinnamon Buns,” authors will share their best mystery story writing tips with kids while kids also try to discover the clues in the Story Pirates’ latest album, The Strawberry Band.

Campers will be able to download Story Sparks (story ideas and inspirations) and related activities to try at home throughout the duration of the camp. Book bundles with a selection of books by each week’s featured creators are included as part of camp registration. The weekly fee is $195 and includes a book by each of that week’s visiting authors and illustrators. Parents may sign their kids up for one week or the full duration of all seven weeks. Creator Club members will receive a 10% discount.

Families can register for their preferred weeks now at storypirates.com/camp. The Story Pirates will reveal the camp’s author lineups this month on the Story Pirates’ social media accounts, so head over to their Instagram and Twitter to find out what reading adventures kids can look forward to this summer!
