The latest version of Bandai’s virtual pet toy collection, Tamagotchi, is here. While the Kawaii aesthetic and overall play style remain the same, this version has exciting new twists for your family to explore!

The new device is called the Tamagotchi Paradise. With the new edition, families can go on an interstellar journey — Tamagotchi style. Little ones and families will participate in not only their pet’s life, but also their pet’s planet.

One new feature on the Tamagotchi Paradise is the small dial on the right-hand side of the device. The dial can be used to scroll in and out on the screen, letting families play with their virtual pet and Tamagotchi Planet from micro and macro perspectives. Families can nurture 12 unique species and create more than 50,000 potential characters based on genetic traits passed down from the creature’s “parents.” Players will be able to nurture Tamagotchi through generations.

There are three collectible shell designs to choose from: Pink Land, Blue Water, and Purple Sky. Each represents a different part of the planet.

The Tamagotchi Paradise ($44.99) is available now on Amazon and at specialty stores. Soon, the virtual pets will be at Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and Macy’s, too. If your family thinks it’s time to adopt a virtual pet, visit tamagotchi-official.com to learn more!
