Yes, it really has been 40 years since we first saw Transformers on our TV screens. Hasbro is commemorating four decades of rolling out with Till All Are One: Transformers 40th Anniversary Event.
At the event, fans of all ages will be able to see episodes from the classic 1984 animated series on the big screen at theaters in the U.S., the UK, and Mexico starting on Wednesday, May 15. As a part of the event, Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus Prime, and Frank Welker, the original voice of Megatron, will do an exclusive, behind-the-scenes table read of the pilot episode of the series, “More than Meets the Eye Part 1.” This table read will be shown on a split screen during the episode, followed by a screening of the next three episodes of the series.
At the end of the screening, kids and adults can get a sneak peek at the upcoming season of the animated series, Transformers: Earthspark.
Tickets for the event go on sale on Wednesday, April 10 at 9:30 a.m. local time at transformers40thcinemaevent.com. Whether you’re headed to the event to relive your Saturday mornings where you sat in front of the TV to watch cartoons or are taking your own kids to the screening, this is a great way to celebrate the legacy of the Autobots and Decepticons.
