Following the original Twilight Turtle, this new Twilight Turtle Tunes comes with a sound option. This enhanced version features the soothing starlight projection of the original with a new sound innovation with cutting-edge Bluetooth technology. By using the free Twilight Turtle Tunes app provided by Cloud b, parents and caregivers can choose from a pre-set library of melodies and sounds that can be mixed and matched to create customized mixes to soothe kids to sleep that play via Twilight Turtle Tunes’ speaker box. A premium app will also be available for $1.99 including the basics, plus the option to access personal music libraries to create personalized mixes for your kids. Via Bluetooth, the melody and twilight effect can be programmed for up to 24 hours (hopefully encouraging a full night’s sleep!)
For parents that are traditionalists, or for those who do not have access to Bluetooth, Twilight Turtles Tunes comes with one default nighttime melody that can be set for 45 minutes. Just like the original, the new Twilight Turtle Tunes glows in blue, amber, and green and projects the constellations. In the Bluetooth version, the colors morph from one to the other every five seconds.
As a soon-to-be aunt, this product was a no-brainer gift for my sister-in-law. Cloud b’s whole product line is full of adorable characters, and the Twilight Turtle (and Twilight Turtle Tunes!) is no exception. The projection are in a soothing light that comforts babies without being a distraction. Since you can program it for an extended period of time, your baby can feel that comfort throughout the night. The ability to choose your own playlists is adorbale&;we all remember the lullabies our parents’ and caregivers sang for us as kids—and this takes that connection to a new level. (Although my brother is a big fan of heavy metal, so I’ll have to make sure he has some other choices in his iTunes library for the sake of my future niece or nephew’s sleeping habits.)
