We Share This Earth is the next installment in the Community Board Book Series, which teaches kids about kindness and shared responsibility.
The story is by Dan Saks, musician and host of the children’s podcast Noodle Loaf. He is also the author of the Families board book series and a music educator specializing in early childhood education. The book is illustrated by Brooke Smart.
The rhyming book, written for kids ages 2 and up, celebrates different communities and highlights how we must all play our part as global citizens. By reading the story, kids will understand how important it is to care about each other and the Earth, and how practicing empathy, compassion, and collective responsibility will result in a more harmonious life.
The story spans from Turkey to the U.S., showcasing interconnected communities across 12 countries. The book also concludes with a map, showing each community on a global scale. The book is also full of color, with each page introducing new designs that will hold your kids attention.
