The LEGO Group is going green, but we’re not talking about the color! LEGO has joined the How2Recycle initiative, and by the end of the year, more than 60 percent of new LEGO boxes in the U.S. will feature the How2Recycle label, according to its website.

The How2Recycle label nationally enables companies to convey to consumers how to recycle a package. Whether you’re aware of it or not, you’re probably very familiar with this label. It can be found on products from Nestle, McDonalds, Hasbro, and more!

This isn’t only way LEGO is being environmentally conscious. Presently, 100 percent of paper and cardboard used in LEGO products and packaging is sustainably sourced and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
