Toy brand Schleich is empowering budding storytellers with a slate of in-store activations and online tools.
National Tell a Story Day is April 27 this year, and to commemorate the occasion, Schleich plans to introduce a new online feature that will enable parents and kids to record and upload videos to the Schleich website using a smartphone. Also a part of the initiative are physical activations intended to let storytelling shine: Kids will be able to visit brick-and-mortar stores to share stories via traveling interactive video kiosks, and there will be live storytelling events at several Schleich flagship locations.
Perhaps most pivotally, through the Share Your Stories initiative Schleich will be giving away toys, social media shout-outs, and even a $200 Schleich shopping spree.
Schleich’s Chief Storytelling Officer, Marcello, offers kids tips and prompts for video-making on the initiative info page. Kids can utilize prompts like, “How did your character get its name?” or create their own.
The Share Your Stories initiative will culminate in the opening of Schleich’s 100th flagship retail location in the fall. In the meantime, you can prep for National Tell a Story Day and get more information on how to participate in the initiative by visiting the Schleich website.
