With so much ever-changing information on COVID-19 floating around, it can be tricky to know how to broach the subject with kids. An easy place to start is with promoting good hygiene.
Doc McStuffins is taking advantage of National Handwashing Awareness Week to teach preschoolers about preventing the spread of germs with a special episode called “The Doc Is In.” Premiering on Friday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Disney Junior, the special will feature the animated character interacting with real kids, families, and medical professionals about healthy habits. Doc McStuffins and Disney Junior also recently teamed up with the World Health Organization with a hand-washing PSA that was released on Global Handwashing Day (Oct. 15).
To further drive home the message, parents can also pick up the Doc McStuffins Wash Your Hands Singing Doll from Just Play, which sings the popular “Wash Your Hands” song from the series. The doll includes an interactive stethoscope, a face mask, a doctor’s bag, a thermometer, and an otoscope for imaginative play.
