Kids can learn about space with this telescope! | Source: Educational Insights/The Toy Insider

Between the skies above and the seas below, kids are in the middle wanting to explore it all — and the Geosafari Jr. Talking Space Explorer from Educational Insights lets kids spark curiosity in science exploration!

This teaching telescope enables kids ages 4 and up to foster STEM and science skills by stargazing into space. Standing on a tripod with soft rubber feet, the optical tube contains images and videos to teach kids about astronomy while learning to observe the world around them.

Little space lovers can learn more than 200 fun space facts and view official pictures from NASA. The star of Netflix’s Emily’s Wonder Lab, Emily Calandrelli, shares audio facts about space and follows up with quiz questions for the ultimate way to reiterate the lessons and practice space facts.

This telescope is the latest iteration of the Geosafari Jr. line of educational toys. This newest telescope has more facts and images for kids to explore and learn from. The upgraded viewfinder is a high-res LCD screen, and the telescope features 13 videos — major upgrades from its predecessor.

Grown-ups should note that there is no need for a separate tablet or smartphone device — everything is included in the telescope (except for batteries, you’ll need three AAA batteries to power up the cosmos).

True space enthusiasts may be disappointed to note that you cannot see the actual stars with this product — it is only an image and video viewfinder. Thus parents may want to supplement with the Geosafari Jr. My First Telescope. It has 9x magnification to provide sky views. Alternatively, the Geosafari Omega Reflector Telescope is an option for older kiddos.

All in all, the Geosafari Jr. Talking Space Explorer can encourage kids to learn about space in an approachable and tactile way and emulates astronomers’ processes. It can be a great addition to homeschooling or a way to make science homework more fun!
