The time has come once again for Hasbro to crown the best school-age Scrabble players.
Hasbro and the Word Game Players’ Association are hosting the North American School Scrabble Championship at the Planet Word Museum in Washington D.C. on April 1 and 2. More than 100 kids from across the U.S. and Canada will compete in the championship in two divisions.
The Championship Division features 42 teams of elementary and middle school players while the High School Division has individual players vying for the win. Each player and team will play eight games over the course of two days, with the top two finishers in each division going into the championship finals.
If young Scrabble fans can’t make it to see the championship in person, they can livestream the event on the Scrabble Twitch channel from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 1, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 2. The Twitch stream will feature expert commentary, player interviews, and more!
Scrabble is available at most major retailers, so kids can even get in on the tournament fun at home with a game or two of their own!
