Air Toobz from Fat Brain Toys is a set of tubes, balls, and accessories designed to spark kids’ imaginations and inspire creativity. Kids ages 3 and up can can arrange and connect the tubes in any way they like, and then see what happens to the balls traveling through the tubes when they turn on the airflow.
The tubes are sturdy, durable, and easy to assemble, so kids can build and construct their designs by simply sliding the pieces into place. Little ones may have trouble sliding the pieces together, but a parent or caregiver can simply join in on the fun!
With more than 40 pieces, there are endless building possibilities so kids can enjoy playing with Air Toobz as they grow. There are both curved and straight pieces included so kids can create loops, run the tubing around a table, or even under and over a chair. Kids can make a closed design or leave one end open to try to catch the balls as they fly out!
Air Toobz is super easy to use — just turn it on and spin the dial to adjust the airflow speed. Once your design is complete, pop the soft foam balls in at your own pace and have fun!
While the set is entertaining for any kid, its STEM elements can be educational and are sure to impress curious minds. Kids can explore multiple airflow speeds, and use the included funnel to make the ball hover in mid-air, then pop a second ball in to see how high it goes! For more advanced play, kids can challenge themselves or each other and experiment with airflow to get the ball to roll (or fly!) from one tube into another. Kids can experience the correlation between force and movement, and become experts at Newton’s Laws of Motion in no time!
After playing, the pieces fit right back into the box, which features a handle so you can carry it with you to a relative’s or friend’s house. The set features a rechargeable battery, and there is also an expansion pack sold separately for kids who want to create bigger or more intricate designs.
