Good news, D.W., this party is not a complete bust! Arthur is celebrating 30 years of silly scenes, sassy siblings, and more on PBS KIDS — and your family is invited to the anniversary bash!
Fans can engage with three decades of fun in three different ways. Right now, the PBS KIDS YouTube channel is hosting a special 30th anniversary livestream featuring 30 full-length Arthur episodes. You can log on with your littles to watch Arthur, D.W., and other friends visit the library, practice their singing in music class, and more.
For screen-free celebrations, tune into Season 5 of The Arthur Podcast, which launched yesterday. Listeners can follow Buster, Arthur, D.W., and more as they explore Elwood City in the new season. Kids can also submit a question to be featured in a new segment called “Dear D.W.!,” led by Arthur’s opinionated little sister. New episodes will be available to stream weekly.
PBS KIDS will also host Family Night Features tomorrow and Sunday, Nov. 8 on the PBS KIDS channel. Viewers will be treated to beloved episodes like Season 3’s “Double Tibble Trouble” and “Arthur’s Almost Live Not Real Music Festival,” as well as Season 8’s “Desk Wars” and “Desperately Seeking Stanley.” The aardvark will also appear on Nov. 21 for a special broadcast of “An Arthur Thanksgiving.”
The celebration continues online at pbskids.org, where kids will find several Arthur-themed games. The website also features full episodes in case your littles miss their favorite scene during the livestream or the Family Night Features. For true analog Arthur moments, swing by your local bookstore for Marc Brown’s Arthur book series, which has inspired the animated aardvark’s adventures over the last three decades.
