Barbie is continuing its campaign for diversity and inclusivity with a new Barbie Fashionista doll line up. Designed with input from doctors and healthcare professionals, the line will feature new dolls in a variety of body types, the first-ever Barbie with behind-the-ear hearing aids, and more.
Drawing on the success of last year’s Fashionista launches, the 2022 Barbie Fashionista lineup will continue offering Ken dolls with rooted, short hair. There will also be a Ken doll with vitiligo to complement the 2020 vitiligo Barbie doll. The line also introduces smaller and curvier body types for both the Ken and Barbie dolls and offers the first Barbie doll with a prosthetic leg.
Launching this June, the full 2022 Barbie Fashionista line will hit shelves at Amazon, Target, and Walmart for $9.99 each.
