Mattel‘s Barbie brand features a yearly Career of the Year collection, highlighting different careers kids can follow. With many a Mattel movie on the horizon, such as the upcoming American Girl film, the company couldn’t have picked a better time to celebrate women in the world of film. 2024’s Career of the Year Collection is ready to showcase all the jobs that make movie magic happen.

The new collection includes four dolls: a Studio Executive, a Director, a Cinematographer, and a Movie Star. Greta Gerwig’s Barbie: The Movie smashed records, earning Gerwig the title of first female director with a billion-dollar film and first U.S. woman director to lead the Cannes Film Festival jury, making this the perfect time to highlight women succeeding in the world of movies.

Previous Career of the Year collections include 2022’s Eco-Leadership Team, with a conservation scientist, environmental advocate, renewable energy engineer, and chief sustainability officer; and 2023’s Women in Sports dolls, including a general manager, a coach, a referee, and a sports reporter.

The new 2024 Career of the Year: Women in Film dolls are available for preorder now at shop.mattel.com, target.com, and walmart.com for $49.99, with expectations to ship next month. Mattel aims to inspire young girls to pursue their creative dreams in film and beyond with this new collection of dolls.
