Build-A-Bear is coming to cartoons with KABU!
Collaborating with Foundation Media Partners and Montreal-based animation studio Laughing Dragon Studios, Build-A-Bear Entertainment is bringing old favorites and new characters kids will love to a fresh animated series. The series will debut a first-look episode at the Kidscreen Summit, running this Feb. 4-7.

KABU, which means “cub” in Japanese, is a 10-episode series developed for kids ages 7-11. Though it’s made with younger kids in mind, the show’s creators hope to see it appeal to everyone with multi-level comedy and stylized animation. The show will tackle everything from solving problems in unique ways to lessons learned from friendship.
The series will feature already well-known Build-A-Bear animals such as mascot Bearemy (voiced by Thomas Sanders) and Pawlette the Bunny (voiced by Brec Bassinger). Kids will have plenty of new faces to meet as well, with characters Bearnice (voiced by Diamond White), Bearnard (voiced by Sean Giambrone), and Poodella (voiced by Margie Mays).
Other Build-A-Bear entertainment offerings include the live-action film Honey Girls, the animated movie Glisten and the Merry Mission, and the documentary Unstuffed: A Build-A-Bear Story.
