If your kid has been looking for a way to make their artwork pop, Crayola can make it happen! With the Ultimate Light Board, kids can become experts in glowing art.

Kids can create their own, one-of-a-kind drawings or remove the black panel and replace it with an image they want to trace. The board is reusable, and the included markers allow drawings to easily be wiped away with a paper towel. You can create a blank canvas with a dry paper towel, but a little dampness will make it easier. Remind your kids to dry the board completely before drawing again!

The creativity center comes with six mini gel FX markers – white, blue, green, orange, yellow, and pink. Crayola suggests that you only use the provided markers, so make sure your little one knows not to ignite their inner artist with other drawing tools. This could be a great opportunity to teach your kid about remembering instructions and taking responsibility for their personal items.

Kids can showcase their drawings at night or during the day; the lights and markers still produce a vibrant picture during daylight. Kids can draw with the lights on, or wait until they’ve completed their masterpiece to see it light up!

The board can serve several purposes, depending on when and how you use it! Of course, it’s a great way for kids to draw without going through piles of printer paper, and it adds excitement to each drawing.

The background slips in and out, so kids can decide to leave it in and watch the neon markers pop against the black, or put in something to trace. | Source: Crayola

You can also use it as a night light, a birthday party sign, a welcome sign, a daily countdown, or a calendar. With a large, blank space to write and draw — coupled with the numerous light modes and the fact that it can stand upright on its own  — the possibilities are endless.

The plastic drawing board can take pressure and is fairly sturdy. The markers also have designated storage slots on the backside of the board, so there’s no need to worry about grabbing anything other than the board itself. It can lay flat for a fun car ride and is easy to transport, but the super-sized board might be a little too large to bring elsewhere.

The toy is designed for kids ages 6 and up, but your younger one can still have fun. Just keep an eye out, as the lights may be brighter to younger eyes and the marker caps could be a choking hazard.
