It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood with new friends visiting!
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, beloved by both kids and adults nostalgic for Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, is getting a new special to kick off the new year. The series follows Daniel Tiger and other kids living in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe as they learn about emotions, friendship, and more.
The new episode features two connected segments focused on Juan and Valentina Carlos’ visit to the neighborhood. In “Juan Carlos Visits the Neighborhood,” Daniel Tiger is eager to show his friend everything he can, but finds he needs to remember to ask Juan what he wants to do as well. “Daniel Shows Juan Carlos the Clock Factory” features Juan explaining he’d like to have a play date in the snow, as he’s never seen it before.
The Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood special will air this New Year’s Day, premiering and streaming on PBS Kids, and will also introduce a new song. Kids won’t be able to resist singing along to, “When your friend comes to visit you, ask what they want to do” (and they might learn a little lesson in the process). Little Daniel Tiger fans won’t want to miss this new episode full of fun and friendship!
