In case you missed it, Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC) took place last week, revealing tons of big superhero news, including DC’s first-ever animated Batman series for preschoolers.

DC hosted a “Comics Are Fun for Everyone” panel at SDCC, debuting a first look at Batwheels, coming to Cartoonito on Cartoon Network and HBO Max this fall. Batwheels follows a group of young super-powered vehicles that help Batman, Robin, and Batgirl defend Gotham City.

The crime-fighting Batwheels team is made up of Bam (the Batmobile), Bibi (the Batgirl Cycle), Redbird (Robin’s Sports Car), Batwing (the Batwing Jet Plane), and Buff (The Bat Truck). The voice cast includes Ethan Hawke as Batman, Jacob Bertand as Bam the Batmobile, Gina Rodriguez as Catwoman, and Xolo Maridueña as Snowy the Snowcrawler, among others. A 30-minute prequel special, called Secret Origin of the Batwheels, will premiere on Batman Day (Saturday, Sept. 17), first on Cartoonito on HBO Max, followed by a later premiere on Cartoonito on Cartoon Network. This special will reveal the backstory of how the Batwheels team came to be.
