Ahoy, me ‘earties! Ravensburger is expanding its Disney Villainous crew with a new swashbuckling installment, featuring the board game’s first live-action character.
Setting sail July 21, Disney Villainous: Treacherous Tides allows kids to captain two heathens of the high seas: Moana’s Tamatoa and Pirates of the Caribbean’s Davy Jones. Players will channel these nefarious seafarers as they play cards, collect items, and complete special missions to become the world’s baddest villain. Families can play this version of the game on its own or mix and match it with other Disney Villainous titles for the ultimate underwater adventure.

Each villain sends players on a unique quest inspired by their evil plots from Disney’s films. As Davy Jones, kids must pilot a pirate crew to find five lost Treasures and defeat the Heroes defending them. Tamatoa is after shiny things, hatching a plan to add Maui’s Hook and the Heart of Te Fiti to his glittering hoard. Kids will navigate each villain’s sculpted mover around the land and take action by playing cards, while keeping an eye out for meddling Heroes. The first player to achieve their goal wins, taking their rightful place as Ruler of the Seven Seas.
Disney Villainous: Treacherous Tides will hit Target shelves on July 21, with other stores to follow on Aug. 1. However, families can preorder a limited-edition version of the game now on target.com, which includes an illustrated sleeve and an exclusive Tamatoa figurine.
