Donald Duck turns 90 this year. Maestro Media’s latest board game takes kids on an adventure with the beloved duck that is worthy of nine decades of Disney history.
In Donald Duck: Happy Camper, players head out on a camping journey with Donald Duck. At the start of their turn, players unveil part of the board and use actions to explore, gather resources, and set up camp. As players gather resources, their bags become heavier, and they move slower.
Resources that players gather can be used to reach the best photo spots, set up tents, craft gadgets, and other activities that earn kids merit badges and bonuses. The first player to complete a task gets a bigger reward, so players must speed to complete as many tasks as possible. The game ends when Donald Duck completes his trip through the forest. Whoever earns the most badges and bonuses wins the game.
Donald Duck: Happy Camper is available for preorder now and officially comes out in December. Until then, kids will just have to go on camping adventures in the real world!
