It’s a Halloween takeover! Douglas Co. is prepping for All Hallows Eve early as four new plush toys start rolling into stores this month, including a Halloween Spider Donut, a Candy Corn Bat, a new version of Spunky the Hedgehog, and a spooky Black Lab.
The Halloween Spider Donut joins Douglas Co.’s animal-plush hybrid collection as a 5-inch-wide plush doughnut with orange frosting and sprinkles. Before you take a bite, you might want to do a double-take because this doughnut has a black spider head and eight long legs coming out of it. Is it creepy? Creepy cute!
That’s not the only food item gone spooky this season: the Candy Corn Bat is a a 5-inch bat featuring a candy corn-shaped body with tiny black eyes; a nose; black bat ear; and black pleather, scalloped wings. Delish!
Fan-favorite Spunky the Hedgehog is ready for trick-or-treating in a festive pumpkin headband. This plush hedgehog also measures 5 inches.
Dog lovers can also take home a spooky version of a 6-inch Black Lab wearing glow-in-the-dark pajamas. The PJs feature a soft, black textured fabric with a glow-in-the-dark, green skeleton body.
These plush toys are recommended for kids ages 3 and up and will arrive at specialty gift and toy stores in the U.S. and Canada in late August.
