Expert Review: Droyd’s Zypster

The Droyd Zypster is an electric go-kart ride-on toy for kids ages 3 and up. It’s both a super fun AND safe way for kids to enjoy playing outside. It includes several safety features that parents will appreciate such as a smooth-launch control pedal (which makes for a slow and steady start) and an electromechanical brake that rolls to a stop when the pedal is released.

The Zypster arrives partially assembled and it’s very easy to complete the set up. It takes about 5 minutes to install the steering wheel (tools are included) and snap the seat in. The Forward/Reverse switch makes driving easy for toddlers, and there is a key that parents can use to lock in the speed at 3 or 6 mph. The LED light shows how much battery life is left so you don’t get stuck having to carry the go-kart down the block back to your house. The steel frame is durable and sturdy, which makes for a great outdoor toy that will last. With the adjustable seat and steering wheel, the go-kart even grows with your kids year after year. There is even an included flag to stick on the back of the go-kart so parents can keep an eye on their kids while they cruise around!

We recommend kids a wear a helmet when riding the go-kart, which is not included. It takes 5 hours to charge, and the battery life lasts for up to 30 minutes. The speed-control key for parents should be kept somewhere safe!
