This summer, kids can swap their swimsuits for supersuits! Gaylord Hotels is teaming up with DC Comics’ iconic heroes and villains to turn family vacations into action-packed adventures.
In partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, DC Summer features dozens of superhero activities for fans of all ages, from resort-wide scavenger hunts and character sightings to dazzling nighttime entertainment. The event will last through Sept. 1 at the Gaylord Opryland, Gaylord Palms, Gaylord Texan, and Gaylord Rockies Resorts.

Throughout their stay, kids can make comic crafts, compete in poolside trivia and activities, embark on superhero missions, solve tricky brainteasers in the Revenge of the Riddler Scavenger Hunt, and train to be heroes during a live show. DC characters are hiding around every corner, walking around the resort or popping up at dinner. The food offerings take super to the next level, featuring a legendary lineup of cocktails, appetizers, desserts, and a secret menu filled with heroic treats.
The centerpiece of the celebration is the Universe of Light, an immersive lantern spectacle exclusive to Gaylord Texan. As families walk through the attraction, they’ll step into the action of their favorite comic books, alight with more than 1,000 handcrafted lanterns. Guests can battle alongside Wonder Woman in Themyscira, soar through the skies with Superman, or take a trip to the Batcave, complete with a life-size lantern of the Batmobile. The experience ends in the Fortress of Solitude and Hero’s Walk of Fame, where DC superheroes are waiting for an unforgettable photo-op.
