We hope your kids have their trunks packed because it’s time to head to Platform 9 ¾ to catch the Hogwarts Express. One thing every aspiring wizard can’t forget to add to their back-to-school list this year? Harry Potter American Girl Dolls.

Mattel is launching a Wizarding World of Harry Potter accessories line for the classic American Girl dolls. Kids can choose whether their doll is a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff, and dress them accordingly in a set that includes a sweater, a scarf, and a tie for $26. Or deck them out in a regular Hogwarts school uniform featuring a bacl Hogwarts robe, a white button-down shirt, a gray skirt or pants, black shoes, and gray socks for $55.

The accessories are compatible with 18-inch dolls. | Source: Mattel/The Toy Insider

Students need to fill their trunks with plenty of accessories, too. There is also a Hogwarts Trunk that comes with a wand, a plush pet owl, a blank journal with a printed Hogwarts crest on the cover, a faux feather quill and ink, a Hogwarts acceptance letter and a supply list that fold up and fit in a printed envelope, and a printed Hogwarts Express train ticket. Plus, the trunk also comes with plenty of snacks for the ride, including a box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans and a Honeydukes Chocolate Frog box with a chocolate frog and a trading card of Albus Dumbledore, because what’s a trip on the Hogwarts Express without a visit to the food trolley? The Hogwarts Trunk set is available for $70.

First-years need to be prepared for their first Sorting Hat Ceremony. The Sorting Hat & Nimbus 2000 set includes a moleskin Hogwarts Sorting Hat to tell dolls which house they belong in, and a gold Nimbus 2000 broom that comes with a kickstand for $32.

All of these magical accessories are available on americangirl.com, where you can also combine sets to create gift bundles. The accessories are compatible with 18-inch dolls.
