It’s almost time for the search, Pokémon GO trainers: families can now purchase tickets for the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2025!

The event will unfold during the summer in three locations: the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park (in the city of Suita near Osaka, Japan) from May 29-June 1; Liberty State Park in New Jersey City, New Jersey, from June 6-8; and Parc de Sceaux just outside of Paris, France from June 13-15. After all three events pass, the big Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global will run from June 28-29, where trainers worldwide can head outside their doorstep and join the fun!

During the event, players have the chance to encounter the dual Fire/Water-type mythical Pokémon, Volcanion. The last time it was available to encounter was during a limited-time online event in Pokémon Sword and Shield back in 2022, so the festival will be the first time Pokémon GO players will have a chance to catch the elusive mythical!

Other event-only features include Hourly Global Challenges to collect biome-specific Pokémon, a higher chance to encounter shiny Pokémon, a 50% discount on stardust cost for trades during the event, double the buddy hearts gained through walking with your buddy Pokémon, and fun daily snapshot surprises.

Trainers who attend the in-person events in Suita, New Jersey, or Paris can purchase their tickets online and preorder exclusive T-shirts, sweaters, tote bags, and a pin (only available in Paris and New Jersey) featuring the legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta.

The official Niantic blog announcement provides information on tickets for each location-specific event and additional information about the event. If your family wants to participate without the travel, find their tickets to the Global festival in the app or on the Pokémon GO Web Store. Which Pokémon will you find on your Pokémon GO Fest adventure?
