Spin Master knows that when it comes to fashion, boring it out. Purse Pets are interactive purses that respond to touch with realistic blinking eyes, inspired by a popular fashion trend first seen in Asia. Spin Master worked with Japan-based entertainment company Sega Toys to launch Purse Pets last year and the toy-meets-fashion line is now growing with the Hello Kitty and Friends Loves Purse Pets collection.
Kids can collect three new purses featuring Sanrio characters Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Chococat. Measuring 7.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide, each purse features soft plush, fleece ears, embroidered elements, and an adjustable strap. Each purse also makes more than 30 sounds and reactions, including blinking eyes, games, and remixed tunes inspired by the world of Sanrio.
Recommended for kids ages 5 and up (but totally acceptable for teens and adults), the Hello Kitty and My Melody Purse Pets are available at mass retailers now for $34.99 each. Chococat will launch on Sept. 1. As Hello Kitty says, you can never have too many friends!
