Hootenanny Games is taking flight with a new fast-paced, family-friendly card game: Early Bird. Early Bird joins the company’s lineup of silly, high-energy games such as Disco Island Escape, Feelin’ Cute, and more.

Early Bird is the perfect game for players who love quick thinking and moving on their feet; it combines the classic elements of the game Speed with physical twists.

Between 2-6 players (ages 7 and up) will race to be the first to empty their hand of numbered bird food cards and compete in challenges. Look out for the Worm challenge card — when a player receives this, the game takes off. The foam worm gets thrown in the air, and each player scrambles to catch it, but the real prize goes to the player with the silliest, squirmiest worm impression. The player with the best worm impression gets to make the first move in the next round.

Other challenge cards include the Squirrel Twirl, where players spin in circles before scrambling to slap the center pile, and the Birdhouse, which tasks players to build a birdhouse out of cards. Play through five wild rounds, and the player with the most challenge cards will soar to victory. The game can be completed in 15 minutes or less, leaving players wanting more round after round.

Feathers will fly and laughs are guaranteed with Early Bird, available now at playhootenanny.com, Amazon, and the links below.
