It’s almost time for Pokémon trainers to embark on their next journey — Pokémon Legends: Z-A has an official release date!
The next mainline game in the series will be available on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on Oct. 15, with preorders starting June 5 on the Nintendo eShop. Players who purchase the Nintendo Switch version of the game can level up their copy to the Nintendo Switch 2 edition with an upgrade pack, which will be available to purchase on the Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A takes place in the Kalos region, specifically focusing on Lumiose City and the goal of making it a place where people and Pokémon can live together in harmony. Wild Zones are being installed throughout the city, so trainers can catch Pokémon with their starter Pokémon tagging along for the journey. With real-time battle mechanics and Mega Evolution making a return to the series, fans get to experience the phenomenon in a whole new way.
Trainers can prepare for the new game’s launch with a new Mega Evolution-themed collection of apparel and accessories at the Pokémon Center website. As an additional bonus, players who preorder the game through the Pokémon Center website will receive a special preorder bonus of a random Sitting Cuties plush of one of the game’s three starter Pokémon: Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile.
