If anyone in your family loves candy, you’re probably already familiar with Kinder Joy, the chocolate egg that includes a surprise toy.

The Kinder Joy brand is launching a free mobile app called Applaydu. Kids can scan the QR code on each Kinder Joy egg to dive into the world of activities, games, and augmented reality (AR) experiences.

Kids can learn sounds and new vocabulary with the “Craft Your Story” feature. After kids create their personalized adventure, it becomes a book in the app’s library. The app also features educational mini-games that incorporate math, geography, and music to teach kids about organization, memory, rhythm, and motor skills. When kids complete achievements and experiences within the app, they get rewarded with unlockable gifts, including animated characters, avatar costumes, and personalized adventure books. Kids can customize their avatars as their favorite animals and characters.

Applaydu is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. It comes with parental controls that parents can use to follow their kid’s development and progress with activity reports.

For even more educational content, families can check out the new “Go Wild Safari” series on the Kinder USA YouTube channel, featuring 16 episodes that explore real families, animal facts, and hands-on activities.
