Aiming to address a staggering dropoff in childhood literacy, Lovevery has unveiled a new phonics-based reading program called The Reading Skill Set.
According to data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress, over two-thirds of U.S. fourth grade children read below the proficient level. The Reading Skill Set is a three-part learning program, each sold separately, that will contain books, games, and multi-sensory activities to help kids foster reading skills and supplement their literacy education.
“Learning to read is hard for many children. It’s a technical process that requires perseverance and a lot of practice. We know that a child’s mindset and attitude can make a crucial difference. If they start to lose confidence, they tend to resist. We set out to fix that,” says CEO and Cofounder of Lovervey, Jessica Rolph. “We spent two years researching the most effective ways to help children learn to read, then incorporated what we already know about how children play and learn.”
Helping your little one achieve literacy the fun way is now within reach: The Reading Skill Set will be available on the Lovevery website for $155 per part, or for $420 for the comprehensive set.
