The Monster High universe is getting bigger! This July, Mattel will launch the Moonspell Magic by Monster High line. This doll line will introduce five new characters from a supernatural world where monsters and witches coexist.
Moonspell Magic encourages fans to embrace their own magic while discovering the power of friendship. The line also integrates inclusive details into the dolls and packaging, with support from the American Foundation for the Blind and Hearing Milestones.
Each doll comes with its own unique style and accessories, such as handbags, spellbooks, potion bottles, and more. They also come with cauldrons that hold magical surprises: Kids can pour water into them to reveal amulet necklaces.
Carina Song is a love witch who practices the magic of friendship and also helps others tap into self love and their inner glow. She mixes magic perfumes that can lift moods and channel inner strengths. Dressed in pink, this doll comes with a potion perfume bottle, a spellbook, and a moonlight mirror.
The nature witch Willow Thorne is decked out in earth-toned clothes. She loves to spend time in the garden and make healing potions. She is hard of hearing and wears a hearing aid, but is very in tune with the Earth and can talk with trees and plants to help them bloom. Additionally, this doll comes with a pouch belt and a moth purse for foraging magic herbs, a spell jar of plants, a potion bottle, and a nature spellbook.
The Claire de Luna doll shimmers in star-accented clothing. She comes with a witch’s hat, a moon purse, a crystal ball for telling fortunes, a star guidebook, and a potion bottle. Though this clairvoyant witch is blind, she can easily read the constellations. This doll also comes with tinted sunglasses and a cane.
Layla Stone is a crystal witch dressed in jewel-toned clothes. Layla uses the power of gemstones to make jewelry with special protection patterns. Her accessories include a metallic jacket, an amethyst-colored witch hat, a crystal with invisibility powers, a potion bottle, and a spellbook.
Dressed in bright colors and sparkles, Rae Lumina is a sun witch who lights up every room. Her powers include creating rainbows and channeling solar energy. Rae also comes with a tasseled messenger bag, a sunbeam candle, a potion bottle, and a sunshine spellbook.
Moonspell Magic by Monster High will debut this weekend at New York Toy Fair (Feb. 14-17), and be available at retailers nationwide in July.
