If parents want to introduce kids to their favorite childhood show, they’ll want to see this new playset from Mattel. A blast from Etheria’s past is heading to the playroom with the return of the highly anticipated Fright Zone set.
The Fright Zone playset, first released in 1985, is making a comeback for long-time fans and newer generations. Inspired by the Masters of the Universe franchise, this set spotlights the evil lair of Hordak, the leader of The Evil Horde and She-Ra’s archnemesis.
Playtime lovers can jump into a new world of adventures with a playset that has multiple features, modular elements, and even a dreadful dragon creature. The Fright Zone allows for inside and outside play, features alternative play and display options, and more. With this playset, kids can see the iconic Fright Zone tree and rotate it to reveal Hordak’s throne.
Watch out for traps. Like the original playset, this Fright Zone features various tricks, such as extending tube traps and a rock foot trap. The set also includes a prison cage, a secret entrance, and an inside armory wall for storing weapons.
Families can revisit the adventures of Etheria with the Masters of the Universe Origins Fright Zone playset, launching at specialty retailers and Mattel Creations on July 1.
