Instead of fighting over the favorite, why not play both?
Hasbro has teamed up with Winning Moves Games to make Monopoly Scrabble, a combination of classic board games that brings the best of both worlds. The new game will release this fall, alongside other fresh offerings from the partnership, such as Boggle Jr. and a reproduction of the time-honored 1980s version of Risk.
In Monopoly Scrabble, rather than rolling dice to move across the board, players can make words to move based on their score. If a player makes a word on a premium space, they can lay claim to a Monopoly property. The game ends when someone plays the final letter tile. Whoever has the most money and property value when the last letter tile played is deemed the winner. The gameplay is quick thanks to clever twists and custom Community Chest and Chance cards, keep things moving at a fast pace.
Hasbro and Winning Move Games aren’t stopping there. To bring back even more game night nostalgia, Boggle Jr. and Risk are both getting rereleases. Monopoly Scrabble is expected to release this fall, so little fans of both games should mark their calendars!
