Rather than writing this album in a studio, Legend created the album around the family piano with his wife and four children. Life lessons he shared with his family shaped the album’s themes and lyrics, such as the power of love (“L-O-V-E”), the importance of family (“We’re a Family”), and dealing with sadness (“Always Come Back”). In addition to nine original tracks, Legend produced reinterpretations of popular children’s songs like “Three Little Birds” and “You Are My Sunshine.” The result is a bright and soulful album that brings families together through the power of music.
