More than 90 years after Walt Disney Animation Studios last drew Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, the character is starring in an animated short to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary next year.

Walt Disney lost creative control over Oswald in 1928, but Robert Iger brought the character back under the Disney umbrella in 2006. Now, the hand-drawn animation team at Disney is bringing Oswald back to his rightful place — on the screen!

The new one-minute short features the classic animation style that Disney and his animators would have used during the 1920s. The short, which is animated in black and white with classical music playing in the background, shows Oswald going to the movie theater, where he finds out he is needed on screen.

After nine long decades, kids and Disney fans alike will love seeing the little guy back on screen. “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” is now available on YouTube. Check it out below!
