One game to rule them all!

The new the Lord of the Rings Adventure Book Game from Ravensburger follows the Fellowship’s journey through Middle-earth, from the Shire all the way to Mordor. Based on the original book trilogy from J.R.R. Tolkien, this game gives kids a whole new way to experience a classic story.

The game includes an Adventure Book game board, seven mini character pieces, a Corruption Track, 42 Story Cards, 18 Special Cards, 15 Plot Cards, five Eye of Sauron Cards, eight Plot Chart Cards, and 52 counters.. The mini character pieces are designed after popular characters from the books and movies, including Frodo, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and more. The game board — like other Ravensburger Adventure Book Games — features a storybook design that kids can turn to new game boards as they play, each representing exciting moments from the original books.

Players will face a number of challenges as they try to bring the One Ring to Mordor to destroy it once and for all. Players need to avoid Black Riders in the Shire, make it through the Mines of Moria, and manage their own temptation to use the One Ring with the game’s Corruption Track mechanic — or chance having to draw an Eye of Sauron Card.

Kids that want even more story action can grab other Ravensburger Adventure Book Games, like the Princess Bride Adventure Book Game and The Wizard of Oz Adventure Book Game. Like the Lord of the Rings game, both feature a storybook design that turns into new game boards for new scenes. Players can gradually make their way through the story over multiple game nights or play through the whole thing in one big gaming event!
