‘Tis the season to put your Monster High dolls on full display. OK, so it’s always the season for that, but the dolls’ spooky vibes shine extra bright for Halloween time. Mattel is unveiling the new Monster High dolls, reimagined to expand representation in the line and inspire kids to be themselves, just like the Monster High crew.
The reimagined dolls include Draculaura, Clawdeen, Frankie, Cleo, Lagoona, Ghoulia, Deuce, and Torelai. The new line will also include playsets and scarecessories, all recommended for kids ages 4 and up, launching next month.
The Monster High Core Dolls include Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Cleo de Nile, and Lagoona Blue, retailing for $24.99 each. With school back in session, the ghouls are showing up in only the most fashionable styles. Each doll has 12 points of articulation and comes with an outfit, a pet, and accessories for storytelling play. Draculaura comes with a creepy-cute pet bat, Count Fabulous; Clawdeen Wolf comes with a cat named Crescent; Frankie Stein comes with a dog named Watzie; Cleo de Nile comes with a dog named Tut; and Lagoona Blue comes with a fish named Neptuna. The Core Dolls will be available at Amazon, Target, and Walmart.
There are also retailer-exclusive dolls, include the son of Medusa, Deuce Gorgon, who comes with a pet mouse Perseus (available at Amazon); Toralei Stripe, who comes with a pet saber-tooth tiger named Sweet Fangs (available at Walmart); and Ghoulia Yelps, who comes with a pet owl named Sir Hoots A Lot (available at Target). These dolls are also $24.99 each.
The Monster High squad now has a haunted place to hang out with the Coffin Bean Cafe Lounge Playset, where the treats are dreadfully delightful. This playset features three play areas and more than 20 pieces for ultimate role-playing. It can hold five Monster High dolls comfortably at once. The set will be available at Amazon, Target, and Walmart for $42.99.
Draculaura is getting a place to stash her beauty essentials with the Monster High Draculaura Gore-ganizer Playset, a coffin-shaped makeup box that comes with a compact mirror, a comb, a face stamper, stickers, and two kid-size hair clips. Kids can use the beauty accessories on themselves, and store them all inside the set. They can also fit a Monster High doll inside. This set will be available at Amazon, Target, and Walmart for $42.99.
The entire collection will be available starting on Oct. 1. Monster High is also partnering with dosomething.org, an organization that helps young people to enact social change, to bring kids together and give them the same sense of belonging that the Monster High students strive for.
