You’re invited to explore Blocktown with curious 5-year-old Bea and her two best block friends in a new HBO Max series Bea’s Block.
Sesame Workshop is partnering with WarnerMedia and animation studio A Productions on the series, which will follow the trio as they go on “Kindness Adventures” to help their multicultural community. Bea’s Block will focus on relatable preschool challenges that encourage viewers to respect and care for others.
“Bea’s Block is a warm, playful series that will immediately feel familiar to kids, both through the use of toy block-inspired animation and by telling this story using a diverse and inclusive cast,” Sesame Workshop’s Executive Vice President of Creative & Production Kay Wilson Stallings said in a statement. “Young viewers will learn how empathy and compassion can change communities and what it means to be a good friend — all powerful lessons that can help them grow smarter, stronger, and kinder.
The series will launch on HBO Max next year, joining other Sesame Workshop series on the streaming service, including Sesame Street, The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo, Esme & Roy, and the upcoming Mecha Builders.
