The Shibajuku Anime Dolls return to shelves as anime- and Japanese-inspired toys are trending this year.
First launched in 2017, the Shibajuku Anime Dolls are inspired by the Harajuku fashion scene, which is focused on bright and attention-grabbing outfits. Designed for kids ages 3 and up, these 13-inch dolls are fully articulated and poseable, so kids can put on Harajuku fashion shows during playtime, and also feature sparkling eyes and real lashes. There are two dolls in the collection — Akira and Kiki — who each have outfits and shoes that are removable, adding a mix-and-match element to play.
Each doll features a unique look that evokes Harajuku fashion. Akira’s hair is mint green, which contrasts with her black-and-white outfit and matching cat ears, which feature different textures and designs. Kiki is wearing a yellow-and-black plaid sailor dress with black knee-high socks and wing-shaped clips in her long, black hair.
The Shibajuku Anime Dolls are available now exclusively at Walmart.
