Sponges are pretty squishy as it is, but now they’re getting even squishier as SpongeBob SquarePants gets the Squshmallows treatment.
Jazwares is adding SpongeBob and Patrick Star to the Squishmallows family and plush versions of the Nickelodeon characters are popping up in the wild now. SpongeBob is looking a little rounder than usual, but fans will recognize his brown shorts, white shirt, and red tie, along with his rosy cheeks, long lashes, and buck teeth. SpongeBob’s bestie Patrick features his green-and-purple shorts, bushy eyebrows, and droopy belly button.
Like all Squishmallows, these plush toys are made of soft and squishy spandex “EF” and polyester stuffing that makes each character as puffy as a marshmallow. They’re also machine washable if you throw them in a pillowcase, machine wash on cold, tumble dry on the lowest setting (or air dry), and floof them back to their original shape.
Fans first caught wind of the SpongeBob Squishmallows last month, but they’re finally available to purchase online now. You can get 5-inch versions of the undersea buddies for $14.99 each at claires.com.
